Mal has over 20 years experience as a percussionist and vocalist. His passion for drumming began when he lived in San Francisco and jammed on the beach and at Dolores Park with some of the finest percussionists in the Bay Area.
Mal played congas and bongos and was lead vocalist in the long-running, ubiquitous North Bay band "Shed Your Blues," and later in the acoustic trio “Shed,” where he could explore his love of Jimi Hendrix, Santana and other favorite artists. He has recorded and performed with Paula Gilbert, and "John Reese & Open Hearts." Mal's percussion and vocals are also on Linda Ferro’s solo CD, “Remember This.” He lives in Cloverdale, CA with his son, Bryan, and enjoys being able to both play music with and share life with Linda.
If you went to some of the cool/hot watering holes in Sonoma County years back, you would have seen Chris and his rockin' guitar in the band "911." (He is a “tone master.”)
He took some time off to help raise his kids, and is now back in the groove. He works for the City of Santa Rosa, and lives with his wife and family in Windsor.
Brian started playing drums when he was 8 years old after his brother gave up the instrument. He loves, collects and jams on all kinds of musical instruments, including bass guitar, rhythm guitar and keyboards, but prefers his first love, drums.
Brian was the original drummer for the "Shed Your Blues" band and later played with Mal and a guitarist in the more acoustic trio “Shed.” When he's not in his awesome barn/studio, he is a retired Fire Chief for the Cloverdale Fire Protection District, and sole proprietor of Eagle Creek Studios, providing live sound and engineering services, especially for non-profit organizations. Brian lives in Cloverdale and enjoys golfing and spending time with his wife Rhonda, and family.
Raised in Sebastopol, CA, Adam is currently a graduate nursing student at USF. He has been a professional bass player for many years, playing in Blues, Rock, Jazz, Funk, and Latin bands. From a young age, his older brother, a great jazz pianist, showed him piano and music theory, and nurtured in him a deep appreciation of music.
Adam started playing drums when he was 13 years old, and by 15 was tinkering on the bass, soon jamming with friends and his brother. He later spent several years studying Jazz theory and performance at Santa Rosa Junior College under Bennett Friedman, and at Cabrillo College under Ray Brown. Adam has been fortunate to perform publicly with Bennett Friedman and Randy Vincent, two North Bay Jazz heavyweights. Adam is happy to be part of The Linda Ferro Band and looks forward to all the fun gigs ahead.
