Just listened to your CD. Lovely work. Well-crafted, very nicely produced and the sound is beautiful. It should appeal to a broad audience with the different styles and very personal lyrics. – Wendy DeWitt, “Queen of Boogie" (Performer and Recording Artist)
Thank you for letting us be a part of all your talent. You ROCK! – Message in guest book after event

Linda's Bio & Adventures
Linda Ferro has been supporting and participating in music and language arts activities in California’s North Bay area for over twenty years. With loving support from a very musical family, she studied classical piano and voice, and later graduated with Distinction from Sonoma State University, studying linguistics and writing. Linda is passionate about singing, songwriting, performing, anything to do with words, and enjoys a broad spectrum of creative activities.  Favorite past projects include:
• Developing and implementing an elementary school vocal music program including community performances, as a Grant Recipient of the California Arts Council “Artist in the Schools” program;
• Planning and hosting a short special-feature program, “Songwriter’s Showcase” for local TV50 television station;
•  Musical Director, pianist, and vocal coach for “The Marquee Theater” group & Camp Rose Players;
• Interviewing, singing with, and writing about the multi-talented Maya Angelou;
• Performing on TV50’s live broadcast music Telethon fundraiser event;
• Composing and performing live, the complete musical score for Santa Rosa High School’s ArtQuest’s production of “Dracula;”
• Writing short special feature articles for Sonoma County’s Upbeat Times;
• Producing and performing in several unique concerts in Northern California: “Top Harps” (Blues harmonica);  “Blues Divas;” "Sonoma County Soul Sisters;" "Contagious Music" (with Freddy Clarke); "Reach Out To Haiti" (all "Keynote Production" events)
• Co-produced and promoted the African-International Music Festival, in December of 2010
Linda FerroIn 2007, Linda joyously planned, recorded, and co-produced her debut solo CD, Remember This, at Prairie Sun Recording Studio in Cotati, California with Producer Mark (“Mooka”) Rennick. This expansive project is a multi-genre musical odyssey of original songs, with her grand piano and keyboard accompaniment, including Blues, Jazz, classy ballads and art-pieces, with supporting performances by amazing Bay Area studio artists and fine local musicians, including Volker Strifler on guitar, and Babtunde Lea on drums.
Linda has enjoyed performing her Blues and Jazz-infused music as a solo artist, and as a lead singer/keyboardist in the bands Catalyst, My Other Car, Blue Blazes and UltraSound. Now focusing on her solo career, THE LINDA FERRO BAND is off and running.  Currently, she is starting to assist other artists with the development and production of their music.
When not working on music projects, Linda enjoys reading, hangin' out with family, friends and her beau Mal, diggin' and planting in the garden.  She hopes to resume working on creative writing projects, including a children’s alphabet book and poetry collection.  Linda lives in Northern California among the Oak trees, with her dog "Roxy," too many keyboards and too many pairs of shoes.

The first annual African-International Music Festival was held December 5, 2010 in Sebastopol and was very well received by both the music and non-music community.
This multi-cultural fundraising event directly benefitted more than ten local and international Non-Profit Organizations.
Three of these organizations took lead in organizing the event: ELISAL for Economic Empowerment (Juma Salim), Global Student Embassy (Lucas Oshun), and Our Working Hands (Rebecca Love).
The event was produced and promoted by Juma Salim of ELISAL and Linda Ferro of Keynote Productions, who
handled all aspects of the actual performance part of the event. (Sound Engineering by Brian Elliott, of Eagle Creek Productions.)
This event also included amazing multi-cultural food, gifts and clothing vendors.
The entertainment programming included fourteen completely different Performing Artists, including singers, musicians, drummers and dancers representing a broad range of cultures.
It featured world-class and regional Performing Artists representing countries such as Africa, Brazil, India, Ireland, Jamaica, Mexico, Pakistan, Peru, and the USA.

The LINDA FERRO BAND was nominated for the 2011 North Bay Music Awards.

Note from Linda: "Over the past year or so, The Linda Ferro Band has been "under construction" and I'm happy to announce that the renovation is completed! We have added some AMAZING musicians to the core group of me, Mal (percussion/vocals) and Chris (guitar). Please visit the band members page to find out about our last-but-not-least addition, Drummer Kenny Susan."
